Governance Structure
Aviemore and Glenmore Community Trust is a company limited by guarantee (SC578898) registered at Companies House and a registered Scottish Charity (SCO51417).

AGCT’s objectives
- The company's main purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development.
AGCT's company's purposes are:
- To provide or enhance the accessibility of recreational facilities, and/or organising recreational activities which will be available to members of the Community and public at large with the object of improving the conditions of life of the Community.
- Advancement of citizenship or Community development, including rural or urban regeneration.
- To advance the provisions for educational opportunities in the Community relating to environment, culture, heritage and/or history.
- To advance environmental protection or improvement including preservation, sustainable development and conservation of the natural environment, the maintenance, improvement or provision of environmental amenities for the Community and/or the preservation of buildings or sites or architectural, historic or other importance to the Community.
The community is represented by the membership and membership is open to any member of the community.
The day to day running of AGCT is delegated to a Board of Directors and the Directors are answerable to the members.
Neither members or directors are eligible to receive profits as they are not shareholders. Revenue generated by AGCT and its operations must be used to further the Trust’s aims and objectives, sustain and invest in its operational businesses and help to develop further community projects.
